The EuroLine Technology Forum is a biennial event organized by EuroLine Windows Inc., and aimed at architects, builders and developers. It is registered with the AIBC, and architects will be able to earn 7 core LUs this year.

The Forum will take place on Thursday, October 8, 2009, and is a full-day event.

The Forum is not mainly a promotional event, but a space to hear from other professionals and to discuss practical issues relevant to the building industry. We invite speakers from different backgrounds to talk about relevant issues. This year's speakers include:

Dr. Patrick Moore, environmentalist - Co-founder of Greenpeace and long-time president of Greenpeace Canada and director of Greenpeace International.
It will be interesting to hear Dr. Moore's take on environment and sustainability.

Erik Kaye and David Bruce, BC Government - Erik is Acting Manager, Energy Efficiency Policy with the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources. David has been engaged recently by the same ministry as an Energy Efficiency Enhancement Coordinator.
We should be able to learn a lot from them on what the Provincial Government is up to with regards to further energy savings regulations.

Graham Finch, RDH - RDH has been a prominent player for a long time when it comes to building envelopes, and Graham is going to talk about the role high-performance windows play within a well designed - and built - enclosure.

Stefan Kulig, independent consultant for fenestration products - Stefan has been working with curtain walls, windows and related products all of his working life. He was head of the curtain wall product management team with REHAU, and closely involved with all aspects of the new curtain wall system PT 50. The PT 50 system is a hybrid system, with a core of structural steel, external aluminium pressure plates and cover caps, insulated from the steel core, and internal vinyl cover caps. This design makes for exceptionally good thermal performance.

A window is only as good as its components, and therefore we will provide a few minutes to our main suppliers (PFG for glass, ROTO for hardware and REHAU for profiles) to present their capabilities and products.

During the lunch break we will visit the EuroLine production and show room facility, a 5 minutes drive from the Delta Town and Country Inn, where the Forum will be held. At the plant we will attend a simulated break-in test through a tilt & turn window.

After the visit to the plant, a buffet lunch will be served at the hotel (meeting place).

The official part of the Forum will be finished at 3:45 PM, but there will be opportunity to discuss afterwards; Mr. Kulig and EuroLine representatives will be available to discuss any questions or suggestions you may have.

Space is limited and fills up quickly, so please register as soon as possible. Please see the attached documents for the registrations form, agenda and other useful information.

If you feel your colleagues or friends may benefit from attending the Forum, please feel free to pass the information on to them.

For any questions you may have, please contact Danielle Funk at EuroLine: 604-940-8485; dfunk@euroline-windows.com.

I look forward to seeing you at the Forum on October 8,
